Sunday Fun Day
From Secondlines, Crawfish on the Lake, and typically my favorite Brunch day, Sundays in New Orleans have always been my favorite. And let me tell you I truly had a Sunday Funday this passed Sunday. My friends like to say I neglect them because I am always so busy so I figured brunch would be the perfect re-connection outing. I knew the weather would be perfect so I wanted to visit a restaurant with a balcony. I hit up my boo Natalie of Your Inner Fat Girl for suggestions and she recommended Tableau. I called and made reservations and requested balcony seating. The hostess told me that there was no guarantee that we would be seated on the balcony but she would add it to the notes. Now Tableau is located in the French Quarters, we were lucky enough to find parking but I do recommend getting dropped off or catching an Uber or Lyft. Luckily we arrived and my request was granted! We were seated on the balcony overlooking the beautiful French Quarters...particularly a little of Jackson Square!Everything on the menu looked delicious so I ordered a soup and an entree. We also got the bottomless mimosas of course! Now I will say the mimosas were kind of weak, so we did order an additional bottle of champagne to pour in it. I ordered the Seafood Gumbo which was really delicious. It was my first time having oysters in my gumbo but I didn't mind it at all. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Pontalba for Brunch which is Herb-roasted chicken breast, potatoes Tableau, a sunny side up egg, and sauce Béarnaise. It was so great together. The chicken was tender and filled with flavor.
Here are some of the ladies dishes below:
We were serenaded by a 3 piece band. Which came to each table to play a song. We were special enough to get two songs. I Love It "Freaky Girl" by Kanye West and Lil Pump and Killing Me Softly by the Fugees. I was told the musicians come out to play every Saturday and Sunday.
Overall the Tableau brunch experience was amazing and I highly recommend it. They split checks, it's located in the beautiful and picturesque French Quarters and they give you a to-go cup for your mimosa. I mean what more could a Brunch Babe ask for? I will definitely be returning!

So glad I decided to hangout with my girls and relieve some stress. I haven't laughed as much as I did in a long time. It was definitely needed after a super busy work week!
